Tannic acids in tea can destroy the fatty outer cell wall of fungal

Breast feeding:
Chemicals in tea such caffeine are secreted into the breast milk. Avoid late night tea so that
your baby can sleep.
Iron Deficiency:
Do not take your iron pills or multiple-vitamin pills with tea. Avoid tea during meal time. Tea,
particularly black tea, can inhibit iron absorption.
Pregnancy:
Tannic acid in tea slows absorption of folic acid and inhibits Dihydrofolate Reductase, an
enzyme for folic acid synthesis. Deficiency of folic acid increases risk of developing Spinal
Bifida in baby.
Avoid large amount green tea during first trimester. Do not take prenatal vitamins or folic acid
with tea.
Taking Coumadin (blood thinner):
Green tea can inhibit absorption of Coumadin, causing sub therapeutic INR. You may for
advises.
Taking medications:
Avoid taking medications with tea. Allow at lease 30 minutes between tea and medication time.
