As one of top ten teas in China, 'Cloud and Mist' is celebrated for its sweet taste, rich nutrients and abundant
Antioxidants. The tea was originally a wild tea, but by the 2nd century, Buddhist monks began cultivating the
tea bushes in their temple gardens. Even nowadays, many temples around the area still have their very own tea
gardens. By the 11th century, it was named "Forest Tea" and became the tribute to the Emperor. The name
"Mt. Lu Cloud & Mist" (Lu Shan Yun Wu) was first recorded in 'Lu Mountain Annals' of the 14th century.
More than half of the year ( 191 yearly foggy days), the area is cloudy and moist, providing ideal climate for the
tea bushes to grow and form its own special fragrance. There are hundreds of aces of tea bushes at the foot of
Mt. Lu, and a few on top of the peaks. The high altitude and warmth, along with the mist, nourish the best
tasting, fragrant, and most delicious tea you would ever experience.

was a native of Mt. Lu and my families now live at the foot of Mt. Lu.
